Upcoming Events Get Involved Support Rock the River
What happens to those who go forward at a Rock the River Tour West event? Churches participating in Follow-Up and Discipleship Seminars put together a plan to mentor and disciple youth and adults who become Christians during Rock the River Tour West. Churches will consider how to effectively involve the youth in their church community, bringing them into a Christ-centered family.
Pastors, Youth Pastors, and Follow-up Workers will be given practical suggestions for establishing a successful follow-up ministry. Counselling and follow-up materials will be provided.
We are engaged in a bold mission To reach the largest generation of young people in Canadian history.
They show extraordinary interest in matters of faith—while filling their spiritual hunger with information from the entertainment world, the Internet, and ideas learned from their peers. As they emerge from childhood, they are leaving the church at an unprecedented rate.
Now we will reclaim them. We will fill their hunger with Jesus.
We are hosting a multi-phase process to equip the youth of your church to tell others about Jesus Christ and bring them into personal relationship with Him. The process includes training to share one’s faith, discipleship seminars, community action projects, and prayer. All of this is focused toward a series of high-energy outdoor evangelistic concerts featuring some of today’s hottest Christian bands and multiple presentations of the Gospel by Franklin Graham.
The first concert on the Rock the River Tour West will be in B.C.’s Fraser Valley on August 7, followed by stops in Calgary on August 21 and Edmonton on August 28. Our goal is to have thousands of young people attend these festivals, so that many of them hear a message of salvation for the first time in their lives, and respond by making personal commitments to Christ.
It is an initiative that will bring hope, strength and encouragement to you and your church.
We need your help.
Significant financial resources are needed to plan, organize, promote, and conduct such a large outreach. Costs will be incurred throughout the whole process, including the training activities, concerts, and two months of important follow-up activities.

$50 helps provide essential follow-up materials to young people who make decisions for Christ.
$100 trains mature Christians to serve as counselors for those who want to turn to Christ.
$500 helps utilize media such as TV, radio, and the Internet to attract thousands of youth to the events.
