"The grace of God fell upon me as I received Christ as my Lord and Savior," said Charles, a villager in the impoverished African nation of Malawi.
Charles and 95 others who watched a special projector presentation of the Gospel - made possible through a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) ministry called My Hope - changed their lives for eternity.
This is just one example of how God has used My Hope to bring the Good News to developing countries around the world.
Designed to train believers to open their homes and share their faith with friends, family, and neighbors, My Hope has seen 9.7 million people in more than 50 nations begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ since 2002.
With the help of churches, the BGEA's TV broadcasts and videos have been viewed in the homes of 4.3 million Christians. The broadcasts, often shown on national networks, are culturally appropriate, with local music, testimonies, and a message from Billy or Franklin Graham in the viewer's native language.
My Hope staff train pastors to run the project. These pastors then train church members to invite unsaved friends and family to their homes for refreshments and to watch the My Hope broadcast.
At the conclusion, hosts share their testimonies and invite guests to receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
Under the leadership of local pastors, new believers receive encouragement and discipleship through their My Hope hosts.
Stories like Charles' are common around the world. In Latin America, one pastor said, "Over 500 people made professions of faith in my church, others recommitted their lives to Christ, and attendance has now increased with 1,800 new people coming since the Mi Esperanza project in Honduras."
Billy Graham said, "Never have there been so many open doors for evangelism - and never has the need for proclaiming the Gospel been greater. God is using this project to call new believers to Himself at a pace we can hardly fathom."
Please pray for My Hope - that God would present more opportunities for us to spread the Good News of Christ to entire nations.
