This helpful, practical, and uplifting REconneXion one-day seminar will focus on effective outreach through the local church in today's changing Canadian culture.
The goal of REconneXion is to provide resources and tools, foster the sharing of ideas, and equip and encourage ministry leaders.

Registration Information

Each seminar runs from 9:00 a.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.) until 3:30 p.m., and includes lunch, handouts, and four sessions.
Cost is $50 per person. Groups of 3 or more (who register at the same time) are $45 per person. Full-time students are $25.

Dr. David Overholt
David is a founding pastor of Church on the Rock, in Hamilton, ON, one of the longest-running churches which targets the next generation. His church (now over 600 in weekly attendance) is growing primarily as a result of having found ways to reach the under-35 crowd with the Gospel and discipleship opportunities. In addition to his 30-plus years in ministry, Dave has earned a doctorate of philosophy in education from University of Toronto. He leads the Youth and Family department at Tyndale Seminary. Dave's books include: Reasons to Believe, Soul Searching the Millennial Generation, and New Beginnings. He speaks to thousands of students and leaders each year across North America. He is married and has one daughter.

David Macfarlane
An engaging speaker, trainer, and motivator, David is the Director of National Initiatives for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada. He travels constantly across our country, speaking at conferences and meeting with leaders. This extensive travel gives him a unique perspective on the innovative things God is doing in Canadian churches. David led local congregations in ON and BC that "turned around" and grew through prayerful and sustainable strategic outreach. David brought his passion for evangelism and discipleship from his native Latin America and loves to help Christians find new ways to engage their world with the Gospel. David lives with his wife Diana in Waterloo, Ontario.

Rick Hiemstra
Rick is Director of Research and Media Relations at the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC). Prior to assuming these roles he served as the Director of the Centre for Research on Canadian Evangelicalism. Rick speaks on Canadian church and cultural trends. He is the editor of the online journal Church & Faith Trends and has authored many articles on evangelical congregations in Canada. Prior to his current position at the EFC, Rick served as the pastor of a Wesleyan church in Cornwall, ON., taught high school mathematics and computer science and held various positions in industry. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Theological Studies. Rick lives in Ottawa with his wife, Beth, and their children, John, Anna, James and Peter.
