Red Deer Express February 21, 2007 Mark Weber The Central Alberta Celebration, featuring evangelist Billy Graham's grandson Will, is set for September at the Centrium. William Franklin Graham IV (Will) is the grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham and son to Franklin, who is currently taking over leadership of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). This fall, Will returns to Alberta for the Central Alberta Celebration being held Sept. 28-30 at the Centrium. Services will run at 7 p.m. all three nights. A special Kids' Fest will be a highlight on Saturday and there will be a focus on youth during the service that day as well. Following in his grandfather's and father's footsteps, Will launched his first three-day celebration with the BGEA of Canada in Leduc last April. The Red Deer event will feature music, multimedia and a nightly message of hope and renewal, said spokesperson Stacey Scott. A local committee of church and community leaders extended the invitation to Graham to come to Red Deer, she said. Will spent the past five years as the Pastor of Wakefield Baptist Church in North Carolina. He currently serves as the assistant director to the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove in Asheville, North Carolina and sits on the Board of Directors for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Will has since continued to speak and preach on behalf of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, carrying on the tradition of his father and grandfather.
