On August 8, 2011, a perfect cloudless sky welcomed golfers to
the Sundre Golf Club. A day of fun and fellowship awaited the 72
golfers who had come to support Billy Graham Evangelistic
Association of Canada's youth ministries. The tournament raised
$35,000, which will help us create opportunities for youth to come
to know Christ or to be trained in sharing their faith with
friends.
Darren Berg, Ben Harke, Don Poffenroth, and Ian Holdstock were
the winning team at -13. The longest putt was achieved by Darren
Berg; Al Wintermute was closest to the pin; ladies long drive was
Marcia Nattrass; and Doug Reid had the men's long drive.
All proceeds go toward BGEAC's youth-oriented ministries that
bring hope to young people across Canada. Rock the River
and Epicentre are
youth ministries that can bring meaning and purpose into your
children's and grandchildren's lives, through a relationship with
Jesus Christ. We want to work with you to bring the Gospel to young
people who are hurting, lonely, and desperate. Please join us in
changing Canada's youth for eternity.
We are grateful to the Sundre Golf Course and its staff who
worked so hard to make the 2011 tournament outstanding for all who
attended. Thanks to all who generously provided sponsorships and
prize donations to make the entire event a success for the golfers
who participated.
