Donor Relations Representative

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham.  His mission is our mission: “Proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means available to us, and equipping others to do the same.”

As a Donor Relations Representative, you will play a crucial role in the organization’s growth and impact. You’ll manage a portfolio of donors, collaborate on achieving annual budget targets, and raise awareness about the ministry’s vital work and how individuals can participate in our mission. This role reports to the Donor Ministry Director and will be responsible for meeting financial goals to facilitate ministry objectives. As an integral member of the Donor Ministry department, this role will help The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry.

The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time permanent role in a home-based office in Eastern Canada. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, RRSP contributions after one year of employment, and 15 vacation days per year to start.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Oversees and manages the assigned segment within the designated region, while continuously monitoring and analyzing activities to ensure partners are appropriately matched with suitable portfolios
  • Cultivates and nurtures new donor relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Acquires and maintains comprehensive organizational knowledge to effectively represent BGEAC’s programs, providing ongoing ministry updates and appropriate appreciation to current and prospective partners
  • Advances partner relationships through personalized engagement plans tailored to each donor’s communication preferences and frequency
  • Serves as the primary contact for all partner requests, inquiries, and account maintenance
  • Ministers to partners by connecting on a spiritual level, sharing the Gospel, encouraging their spiritual journey, and integrating principles of Biblical stewardship and generosity as relevant
  • Addresses the technical information needs of private foundations and public charities within the assigned region, collaborating with the team to develop grant proposals, requests, and follow-up reports
  • Collaborates closely with Regional Managers and department members to ensure seamless partner relationship management and transitions when necessary
  • Actively manages partner database information, meticulously documenting all interactions and providing detailed activity and outcome reports
  • Occasionally travels to support regional partner events and strategic one-on-one meetings with partners

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants must be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the BGEAC Statement of Faith
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive and relevant fundraising experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven self-starter with successful track record of developing relationships with high-capacity individuals
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
  • Highly motivated, personable and results orientated professional
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional listening, negotiating, problem solving, planning, priority setting, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Donor Studio donor tracking system an asset
  • Knowledge of Planned Giving and Estate Planning an asset
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically as required

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • Registered vehicle with appropriate insurance for regional travel
