The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham. His mission is our mission: “Proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means available to us, and equipping others to do the same.”

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) is actively searching for a committed Volunteer Manager, who will play a pivotal role in recruiting, training, and nurturing our Arabic Search for Jesus volunteers. This dynamic individual will spearhead the planning and execution of annual volunteer events, aimed at providing invaluable support to our volunteers and, in turn, helping our organization achieve its Charitable Purpose and Mission of spreading the Gospel. As an integral member of the BGEAC Ministry, this individual is expected to perform in a professional manner and deliver high quality outcomes and will help BGEAC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry.

The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time 1 year contract in the Calgary head office, with a hybrid work-from-home arrangement available. Telecommuting work arrangements can be made for remote applicants. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, RRSP contributions after one year of employment, and 15 vacation days per year to start.

 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages, leads, and offers support to our volunteers and volunteer leaders, and empowers them to excel in their roles
  • Develops and executes strategic initiatives to meet the targeted growth of the Arabic field ministry
  • Engages in outreach, advertising, and local Christian community partnerships to attract and retain volunteers
  • Conducts and documents the screening and selection processes to ensure that all volunteers align with the organization’s requirements
  • Provides ongoing training and ministry development opportunities to enhance volunteer effectiveness
  • Systematically documents, analyzes, and reports volunteer feedback
  • Prepares and presents progress reports on key ministry areas, and manages volunteer inquiries, technical concerns, and ministry updates

 
Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement and compliance with the BGEAC Statement of Faith
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Arabic and English fluency in writing, reading, and speaking is required
  • Minimum 2 years of Arabic ministry experience, an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or volunteer management experience, an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational acumen, problem-solving skills, and a self-directed work ethic
  • Superior verbal and written communication with excellent customer service abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • An independent thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
