As a Donor Ministry Representative, you will be a vital link between our organization and our generous supporters. You will be a warm and welcoming voice, responding to donor inquiries, processing donations, and building meaningful relationships. This role is more than just administrative support; it’s an opportunity to minister to those who make our work possible and demonstrate gratitude for their partnership. As an integral member of the Donor Ministry Team, this individual will contribute to our mission through dedicated support of our donors and participation in daily prayer ministry.
The successful candidate will fill a full-time 1-year contract in the Calgary head office. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, free parking, RRSP contributions (after 1 year of employment) and 15 days of vacation per year.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responds promptly and respectfully to donor calls, providing information on ministry initiatives, donations, tax receipts, corrections, mailings, and recurring donation setup.
- Cultivates ongoing relationships with donors in coordination with the Ministry Fund Developers.
- Effectively manages the general email inbox, ensuring all inquiries receive a timely response or are directed to the appropriate team member.
- Updates and maintains accurate donor records to reflect appropriate contact requirements and reports.
- Identifies and communicates with the Ministry Fund Developers regarding donors who have expressed an interest in specific ministry activities or information.
- Assists with outbound phone calls and follow-up with donors as necessary.
- Creates and maintains a program of thanking and encouraging donors through the personalization of standard cards or letters.
- Supports and monitors Sponsor Me campaigns.
- Supports the Donor Development team as required at ministry events.
Qualifications:
- In agreement and compliance with the BGEAC Statement of Faith, Code of Personal Conduct and organizational policies.
- Post-secondary diploma and/or experience in Office Administration.
- Experience in a call center environment.
- Experience in a fundraising environment is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented, consistent, accurate, and efficient.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
