I believe in God, but I can't say that I think about Him very much. Why should I? After all, I'm not sure He thinks about me very much, either. If He did, I don't think I'd have so many problems.

One of the Bible’s greatest truths is that God never forgets about us or dismisses us from His mind. We may forget Him — but He never forgets us! Jesus’ promise just before He returned to heaven should give us great comfort: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Have you ever asked yourself why you seldom think about God? One reason, I suspect, is because you simply don’t feel any need for Him. Even when you’re confronted with problems, you assume it must be up to you to solve them, and you never think to turn to Him for the wisdom you need. Nor do you think to turn to Him when you face decisions, seeking His will so you’ll know which way to go.

But you’ve indicated that there’s another reason you seldom think about God — and that’s because you don’t believe He thinks about you. But He does — and the reason is because He loves you and cares what is happening to you. How do I know this? I know it because He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to give His life for you. The Bible says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us” (1 John 3:16).

Don’t ignore God any longer, but turn to Him and by a simple prayer of faith turn your life over to Jesus Christ. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make.
