The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham. As a Data Research Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the effectiveness of our ministry’s outreach efforts by helping ensure our data is accurate, organized, and up to date. In this role, you will proactively research and maintain key information related to churches, ministries, and community partners across Canada, helping our team stay well-connected and prepared for upcoming events and initiatives. You will also provide general administrative and organizational support to the team. As an integral member of the Ministry Department, this role will help BGEAC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in the daily prayer ministry.
The successful candidate will fulfill a part-time (32-hr/week), 1-year contract based in our Calgary head office. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, free parking, RRSP contributions (after 1 year of employment) and 12 days of vacation per year.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Researching churches, pastors, ministries, vendors, and community partners to ensure contact information in BGEAC databases is accurate and up to date.
- Reviewing and updating existing records, correcting missing or outdated information such as addresses, phone numbers, websites, staff changes, and organizational details.
- Maintaining consistent and accurate data by following established organizational standards for formatting, coding, and record management.
- Conducting regular reviews of contact lists, volunteer records, event data, and partner databases to ensure information remains current.
- Documenting sources used to verify or update information to support data accuracy and accountability.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining lists, spreadsheets, and reports to support ministry initiatives and events.
- Performing data entry tasks, including event registrations, attendance tracking, and volunteer applications.
- Supporting volunteer communication by confirming availability and documenting scheduled shifts.
- Participating in cross-training within the Celebration Team and providing administrative support for BGEAC initiatives and other team needs as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the BGEAC’s Statement of Faith.
- Post-secondary education in an administrative or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative role, including data entry or database administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong data management and data accuracy skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and friendly approach when interacting by phone or in person.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Experience working with Donor Studio, CRM systems, or Volunteer Select is considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
