The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham.  His mission is our mission: “Proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means available to us, and equipping others to do the same.”

As a Ministry Assistant, you will provide valuable administrative and organizational support to the ministry team. In this role, you will assist Project Managers and contribute to ministry initiatives by assisting with the coordination of information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project administration. Your work will include data research, collection, entry, and maintenance, helping ensure the team has reliable information to effectively carry out ministry projects. Through these efforts, you will play an important role in supporting the efficient completion of ministry initiatives and advancing the mission of BGEAC.

The successful candidate will fill a casual, 1-year contract position based in the Calgary head office. There is no guarantee for hours worked, and shifts will be assigned based on the needs of the ministry.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing general administrative support functions for the ministry team.
  • Facilitating or assisting with in-house mailings to support ministry initiatives.
  • Assisting with database functions, including data cleanup, research, verification, and maintenance of current information.
  • Proactively obtaining and entering new or incomplete data, including contacting potential partner churches to verify or update information as needed.
  • Maintaining organized and accurate record-keeping systems while handling sensitive information with care and confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Assisting with the preparation of event materials and supporting the management of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Providing administrative and operational support for BGEAC initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants should be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement with the BGEAC’s Statement of Faith.
  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary certificate in an administrative field; an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with people both over the phone and in person.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of records and sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data handling and record management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
