Walter* was still recovering from a near-death experience when he went online looking for answers about God. He enrolled in our Know Jesus discipleship course and connected with one of our team members.
Walter explained that over the past few decades, he had become deeply involved in astrology—and it left him emotionally broken and mired in spiritual darkness. The 74-year-old was so grateful to learn Jesus’ promise: “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12, NKJV). During the course, Walter prayed to surrender his life to the Lord. “Jesus, forgive my sins and rebellions against You,” he typed. “Have mercy on me, a sinner, as I repent and turn away from those sins.”
When he finished Know Jesus, he enrolled in a follow-up course. By the time he completed that course, he was regularly attending a new church—and just a few weeks later, he was baptized.
Please pray for this new brother in the Lord as he continues to follow Jesus Christ.
